Family Dog

Family Dog

Founded by Chet Helms, Family Dog Productions was started to promote concerts in San Francisco, CA during the 1960s.  Family Dog promoted shows for some of the biggest artists from the 60s including Janis Joplins’ Big Brother and the Holding Company, Steve Miller, The Doors, The Kinks, Velvet Underground, & Buffalo Springfield.  Through Rhino Records, Family Dog holds the rights to a large catalog of iconic imagery from the time.

Virtual Greats’ staff are specialists in emerging and new media channels.  We firmly believe that intellectual property is valuable in this space and that, if properly administered, can be a new incremental revenue stream and powerful form of artist expression. We have an artist friendly business model that allows for a smooth approval process along the way, so your image and likeness is tightly controlled. This avoids piracy issues. We can offer scale. By working with Virtual Greats, our artists can be exposed across the entire ecosystem of social networks, casual games, MMOG’s and virtual worlds, or only specific ones. It’s always the artist’s choice.

Currently, Virtual Greats has exclusive distribution rights for virtual goods associated with a variety of Artists, IP, and Brands across multiple media platforms. And the list is growing fast.
